Virginia Tech has largely addressed their most pressing needs in the transfer portal this cycle landing a pair of defensive tackles in Aeneas Peebles and Kelvin Gilliam (plus JUCO standout Kemari Copeland), a true mike LB in Sam Brumfield III, and an offensive lineman in Montavious Cunningham. Brent Pry has hinted that numbers are very tight now and that the Hokies may be limited in the moves they will make going forward.
With that said, here's my look at what the Hokies' top transfer portal needs are from my perspective and some thoughts on what Tech may or may not actually do to either address them or take a chance on what they have on their 2024 roster, along with some potential names to fill said needs at certain spots.
