Days after decommitting from Virginia, the Hokies completed the flip as three-star DE Keyshawn Burgos has signed with Virginia Tech.

Burgos chose the Hokies over offers from Virginia, West Virginia, Navy, Army, Old Dominion, and Richmond. He joins a strong, all VA defensive line class that features DTs Rashaud Pernell, Lemar Law, and Malachi Madison plus DE Kyree Moyston; all five of whom also come out of either the Richmond metro or the 757.
Burgos signing means that Tech will sign at least 11 in-state recruits this class, the most in one class since the 2014 class under Frank Beamer. The fact that Tech has their first double-digit VA recruit class since before the Justin Fuente era is a clear statement that Brent Pry is backing up his word about prioritizing the "footprint" and especially the Commonwealth of Virginia.
We will have more as this story develops.
