Virginia Tech continues to land the top WR prospects in Virginia as three-star WR Jayden Anderson out of Virginia Beach, VA has committed to the Hokies.
Anderson chose the Hokies over fellow finalists Tennessee and West Virginia plus other offers from Georgia, Miami, South Carolina, Auburn, Duke, Maryland, Boston College, and more.
He committed to the Hokies today along with one of his teammates, three-star CB Knahlij Harrell. He is one of three in-state commits along with Harrell and three-star OT Carter Stallard, while Tech also has a commitment from three-star QB Kelden Ryan out of Texas.
This is also the second-straight recruiting cycle that Virginia Tech has landed a commit from 757 powerhouse Green Run HS after signing four-star WR Keylen Adams in the 2024 cycle.
It's been clear for a while that Anderson was a top priority for the Hokies at WR with the Green Run standout taking multiple visits.
WRs coach Fontel Mines continues to be a recruiting ace for the Hokies and once again played a big role in landing Anderson. Mines has shown that if there's an in-state WR he wants, he almost certainly will land him for the Hokies regardless of the competition.
With Anderson on board, Tech still seems likely to take 1-2 more wide receivers this cycle with four-star WR Micah Matthews being the top name to watch.
We will have more as this story develops.
