After a battle that lasted almost the full length of the offseason, Virginia Tech has a starting quarterback with incumbent Grant Wells winning the job over Baylor transfer Kyron Drones. The news wasn't a big shocker given that Wells had the edge coming out of the spring though this did seem like a much tighter battle than Wells vs Jason Brown last year that was over in reality after spring practice.
So with that news now official, here are my thoughts on Wells winning the starting job.
