This morning, it was announced by that the Virginia Tech Baseball team will take part in the annual 2026 Amegy Bank College Baseball Series at Globe Life Field.

It is still TBD who exactly Virginia Tech will play, but the other five teams that will be present for the weekend are UCLA, Arizona State, Mississippi State, Tennessee, and Texas A&M.

If I were to guess, I would assume the Virginia Tech schedule would look something like this:

Day 1: Tennessee (Night)
Day 2: UCLA/Arizona State (Early)
Day 3: Texas A&M/Mississippi State (Mid Day)

Being a member of this tournament is huge for the program, especially if they can manage to line it up with a successful season that leads to them playing in the postseason. No matter what, this would be a good RPI opportunity early in the season as well, playing three neutral site games against multiple of college baseball's premier programs.
