Virginia Tech defensive back Joseph Reddish announced his decision to enter the transfer portal.
The rising redshirt junior played in 11 games with two starts this year for the Hokies. During his time in Blacksburg, he tallied 16 tackles with two for losses.
Before transferring to Virginia Tech, he spent two years at Wingate, and in 2024, Reddish had 33 tackles, including two for a loss and four interceptions with 11 pass breakups.
Joseph Reddish got expanded minutes after Tech lost multiple DBs early in the season including Christian Ellis who had worked some in the nickel for the Hokies. Ellis' early departure for the portal allowed Reddish to earn significant playing time at nickel along with Isaiah Cash and show that he has what it takes to compete at the FBS level.
Reddish becomes the fourth Hokie DB to enter the transfer portal this cycle along with CBs Dante Lovett and Caleb Brown plus safety Christian Ellis. It seems very likely that the Hokies will look to add a few reinforcements to their secondary this cycle.
Reddish will have two years of eligibility remaining at his new school.
