Virginia Tech Men’s Basketball has officially finalized their 2026-27 non-conference by adding a game against a strong in-state mid-major program to the schedule.
Virginia Tech will host Richmond on Monday, November 16th per source. The matchup was first reported by The Richmond Times-Dispatch. The Hokies have a 70-39 record all-time versus the Spiders including a 74-58 victory for the Hokies most recently during the 2024 NIT at Cassell Coliseum.
Virginia Tech’s 2026-27 non-conference schedule is now set and is one of the strongest in recent memory with four games against power conference opponents excluding the Charleston Classic where VT will face two more quality opponents. VT’s mid-major matchups also have some solid matchups and in-state flair with four in-state mid-majors visiting Blacksburg (Richmond, ODU, Radford, VMI).
