Here's a look at the latest Virginia Tech football recruiting notes headlined by the Hokies receiving a visit from one of their top defensive targets today after gaining two commitments this past week from QB Tahj Bullock and LB/ATH Keli Lawson.
3* DB Donovan McMillon
Fast-rising DB and priority target Donovan McMillon is making a trip to Virginia Tech today (tweeted later he would be visiting Saturday not Friday) after taking a trip to Florida last weekend.

After making his top 5, Virginia Tech and Florida have emerged as the frontrunners on paper over Oklahoma, Texas A&M, and Oregon though neither of those three should be ruled out at this point. However, as McMillon seems to be getting closer to a decision, having him on campus could prove very valuable for Tech's hopes.
With Jalen Hoyle and Jalen Stroman committed, Tech has zoned in on McMillon as their top target at safety with Justin Fuente and Justin Hamilton each taking on large roles in his recruitment. Additionally, recruiting assistant Lino Lupinetti has played a large role as well with their strong friendship putting the Hokies battling at the top for the talented, fast-rising safety.
Donovan McMillon's recruitment is heating up with this visit being a great opportunity for McMillon to gain some familiarity with VT's campus and make a big move in his recruitment.
3* OL Delfin Castillo
Three-star offensive lineman Delfin Castillo released his top 6 this week and Virginia Tech unsurprisingly made the cut.

— Delfin X. Castillo (@DelfinCastillo_) June 18, 2020
The Hokies were joined in the top 6 for Castillo by Pittsburgh, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Maryland, and Michigan State in his top 6. He told us that Virginia Tech made his top 6 because he "loves the coaches, program, campus, and academics" that the Hokies have to offer.
Tech, Pittsburgh, and Vanderbilt appear to be at the forefront of Castillo's recruitment at this point with those three schools currently recruiting him the hardest.
The Hokies may look to try to add a second interior offensive lineman with Castillo fitting the mold with great size at 6'5'' and 325 pounds. Additionally, Castillo has spent some time at tackle in high school and brings the type of versatility that Vance Vice ssems to cherish on the offensive line.
Keepn an eye on Castillo as Tech looks to assemble a large offensive line class with German/Serbian OL Danijel Miletic already on board.
3* ATH Jaden Keller
Three-star athlete Jaden Keller told us that Virginia Tech is still "up there" in his recruitment. That is because of the fact that he "just likes the campus and the whole Hokie vibe" that Virginia Tech brings to the table.
Additionally, Keller told us that Virginia Tech is among three schools currently standing out in his recruitment along with Appalachian State and Coastal Carolina with Tech being in contact with Keller a "couple times a week."
Keller is an intriguing athlete at 6'3'' that has the potential to play defensive back or wide receiver at his future college. For now, the Bristol athlete's recruitment seems to still be in an early stage with the contenders for him still sorting themselves out.
However, it does like Virginia Tech plans to at least have a somewhat high level of involvement in his recruitment going forward as they have shown previously.
