Virginia Tech sharpshooter Jaden Schutt has entered the transfer portal.
Schutt transferred to Virginia Tech in 2024 after two seasons at Duke, where he logged 14 games, all as a true freshman, scoring two points per contest. In his sophomore year he redshirted due to injury.
In his first season in Blacksburg, he started 26 games, averaging just over 6 points per game, and shot 35% from beyond the arc.
This past season, Schutt continued to be a three-point specialist, shooting 38.5% from deep. After getting hot through the first few games of the year, he didn’t close the season how he would've hoped. Over the final 11 games, he was scoreless in five, including an 0-for-7 game against Virginia to close out the regular season.
Jaden Schutt joins three other Hokies in the transfer portal, including Isaiah Pasha, Neoklis Avdalas, and Christian Gurdak. He has one year of eligibility remaining.
