Virginia Tech Offers 2025 OT Skylar Harvey During "Great" Visit

Virginia Tech extended a few new offers this past weekend including one to 2025 OT Skylar Harvey from Baltimore, becoming his first offer.

He had this to say about his reaction to receiving a Virginia Tech offer.

"Just grateful that they saw my talent and were willing to give me an opportunity. It’s a blessing," Harvey said.

Harvey received the offer during a conversation with RBs coach Elijah Brooks, his area recruiter, while visiting the Hokies this weekend. He had this to say about that conversation went.

"The conversation was great. The coaching staff showed me that they were very interested. Can’t wait to get back down there," Harvey said.

So how was Harvey's visit as a whole? Here's what he had to say.

"The visit was great, From the hospitality to the atmosphere during the game, I really enjoyed it," Harvey said.

He added this on what he did during his visit to Virginia Tech.

"We started in the indoor facility where we had lunch which was great. We then were able to experience the Hokie walk which was amazing. After that, we were able to go on the sideline for pregame for about an hour, We then were led to our seats to watch the game," Harvey said.

His visit also included time with head coach Brent Pry, OL coach Ron Crook, and his aforementioned area recruiter Elijah Brooks. He had this to say about his time and conversations with Brent Pry.

"Our conversation was great, He told me about the environment and the fanbase. He showed a lot of hospitality," Harvey said.

He had this to say about his time and conversations with Ron Crook.

"Coach Crook is a great guy, He’s funny. He also told me he’s gonna stop by my school to visit me in a few weeks," Harvey said.

He had this to say about his time and conversations with Elijah Brooks.

"It was also great. Coach Brooks was the first VT coach to actually reach out to me and I really was grateful for that. He came to see me play and it ultimately led to the offer," Harvey said.

So how did this offer and visit impact his recruitment and where Virginia Tech stands in it?

"It impacted my recruitment tremendously. It kickstarted my recruitment as a whole. Right now, no matter what, VT will be one of my first choices, because they were the first school to recognize my talent and take a chance on me," Harvey said.

The Hokies impressed 2025 OT Skylar Harvey this weekend and are set to be a serious contender in his recruitment.
