Virginia Tech has sent out their fair share of offers during the spring evaluation window including one to 2025 three-star Blake Hebert out of Lawrence, MA.

He had this to say about his reaction to receiving a Virginia Tech offer.

"I am super excited. It’s an awesome feeling to receive this opportunity from such a great school!" Hebert said.

The offer came during a conversation with senior offensive analyst Brian Crist. He had this to say about how that conversation was as a whole.

"It was awesome! He is super easy to talk to. I really enjoyed the whole conversation," Hebert said.

Hebert has seen his recruitment take off recently receiving eight new Power 5 offers in the first 11 days of May. Here's a look at his current offer list.

  • ACC: Virginia Tech, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, UVA
  • Big 10: Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, Rutgers
  • SEC: Ole Miss
  • FBS Independent: Connecticut, Massachusetts

This offer didn't just come out of nowhere as the Hokies have been showing some interest in Hebert for a little bit as he told us.

"I had talked to them a good amount before receiving the offer," Hebert said.

It shouldn't be too surprising that Hebert has broken out as a legit Power 5 QB prospect this spring after a strong sophomore season. In the fall, he threw for 1,748 yards with 24 touchdowns and only 1 interception while completing 60% of his passes (111-185).

Tech has had some success recruiting quarterbacks out of the Northeast including fellow MA native William "Pop" Watson III who has emerged as VT's QB3 for 2023 and likely starting QB of the future after a strong spring.

So how does this offer impact his recruitment and where VT stands in it?

"It’s definitely big for me. I am really looking forward to getting down there!" Hebert said.

As the 2025 QB target board comes into focus, Blake Hebert has emerged as a name to keep an eye on for the Hokies.
