The ACC announced today that Virginia Tech will represent the conference in the 2019 Belk Bowl.

The Hokies will be making their second appearance in the Belk Bowl having beaten Arkansas 35-24 in 2016 after being down 24-0 at halftime. The game will kickoff at noon on New Year's Eve from Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte and be televised on ESPN.
The SEC opponent has not yet been announced for this game but Kentucky and Tennessee are under consideration after Mississippi State, the previously expected opponent, was announced with Louisville in the Music City Bowl.

The Belk Bowl has officially announced that the Hokies will face Kentucky in the 2019 Belk Bowl.

This will be the first matchup between the Hokies and Kentucky in football since 1987. The Wildcats went 7-5 this past season and should pose an interesting matchup with an almost all-run offense built around athletic QB Lynn Bowden Jr.
