Virginia Tech has a core trio of Amani Hansberry, Ben Hammond, and Tyler Johnson set to lead the way next season. However, VT has a lot of work to build out the roster around them with the only other players being Oklahoma F transfer Kuol Atak, rising sophomore backup F Sin'Cere Jones, redshirt freshman C Solomon Davis, and part-time player Shamarius Peterkin, whose top focus likely is football given his expected two-deep WR spot.
That means that the Hokies aren't just trying to fill starting lineup spots but also looking to add in depth. That has led the Hokies to showing interest in a wide swath of players including an intriguing West Coast mid-major frontcourt transfer target.
