The contest was originally scheduled for Sunday at noon. The postponement comes as a result of a positive COVID-19 case found within the Virginia program.
Virginia Tech is coming off it’s first loss of the season, losing 84-78 against Notre Dame last Thursday night. Tech had opened ACC action with a home victory over Pittsburgh with this being their next chance to stay undefeated at home.
This does guarantee that the Hokies will be undefeated in Cassell Coliseum for the 2020 portion of the 2020-21 season.
There is currently no scheduled date for the game to be made up. The Hokies’ next matchup comes on January 3rd, as the team heads to Durham, North Carolina to take on Duke at 2:00pm.
