Last year, Virginia Tech only had one true freshman avoid a redshirt in safety Quentin Reddish, who is a frontrunner to start at safety this fall for the Hokies. While VT likely will look to redshirt as many true freshmen as they can, there are some true freshmen who appear to have a good opportunity to avoid a redshirt this fall.
So with that said, who are the top candidates to avoid a redshirt this fall with just a few weeks to go till fall camp? Here's my rundown of the top candidates.
