Hokies Football:  LB Raymon Minor Has Left The Football Team, Will Transfer

The Virginia Tech Hokies have seen a few players leave the team over the past few weeks including QB Dwayne Lawson, LB Carson Lydon, and DT Harry Lewis. However, the Hokies have another player that has now decided to leave the team, opening up another scholarship. Virginia Tech has announced that linebacker Raymon Minor has left the football team and will transfer from Virginia Tech. Minor was a four-star athlete out of Benedictine in Richmond that chose the Hokies over a multitude of schools including Nebraska. Minor started out at the backer position before struggling to climb the depth chart there and then moved to the whip linebacker spot. With the Hokies shifting more to a nickel defense and Anthony Shegog being the clear top whip LB, the odds of a transfer increased a good amount. With Minor gone, the Hokies' linebacker depth weakens more though with Minor being the backup at the whip, the impact shouldn't be much at all. Raymon Minor's future is away from Blacksburg as he couldn't find any serious playing time with the Hokies.
