Edinboro's Korbin Myers Transfers to Virginia Tech

VT Wrestling Entrance
Two days ago, the Hokies received some big news when Edinboro's talented heavyweight wrestler Billy Miller decided to transfer to Virginia Tech. Yesterday, his teammate Korbin Myers decided to follow him to Blacksburg. https://twitter.com/HokiesWrestling/status/1004118860566495232 Virginia Tech announced yesterday that Korbin Myers would be coming with Miller to Blacksburg. Myers was the 14th overall seed at 133 in this year's NCAA Championships and has two seasons of eligibility remaining. Myers is a two-time EWL champion and two-time NCAA qualifier at 133. With Dennis Gustafson graduating, Myers is the perfect replacement for the Hokies and should be one of the top 10-12 133 wrestlers to start next season in addition to being a top contender in the ACC. In addition, having Myers for two years allows him to be a high-quality 133 wrestler that gives incoming freshman Mitch Moore some time to develop. With the addition of Myers, the Hokies are likely to have at least 7 ranked wrestlers to start the 2018-2019 season with the potential to have 9 or even all 10 starters ranked to start the season. After winning an ACC Championship in a rebuilding year, the Hokies should have a top 5 team that can be a major player at next year's NCAA Championships.
