Last week, Virginia Tech hosted a big official visitor in four-star JUCO DE Kuony Deng. This upcoming weekend, the Hokies will be hosting another talented four-star recruit in 2020 cornerback Miles Brooks. https://twitter.com/milesbrooks2020/status/1056573041872945152 As far as we know, this will be Brooks' first visit to Virginia Tech this fall. Over the past several months, Brooks has emerged as a top cornerback target for the Hokies out of a program where Virginia Tech has had success recruiting defensive backs in the past in Jacksonville's Trinity Christian, the high school program that developed freshman safety Chamarri Conner. Brooks told us over the summer that the Hokies were "pretty high up there" in his recruitment while also mentioning his hopes at the time to visit Virginia Tech in the not too distant future. Looking down the road, Brooks told us that he intends to cut down the list in the not too distant future though he also told us that he doesn't plan to make a final decision till at least December 2019 at this point. For the second-straight week, Virginia Tech will have a major target on campus in Miles Brooks though unlike next week, Brooks is likely to not be the only top target in Blacksburg this weekend.
