Virginia Tech’s transfer portal cycle this offseason is going far better than last year’s. That continued today as the Hokies landed a commitment from Delaware guard Izaiah Pasha, the 2024-25 CAA Rookie of the Year.

Pasha chose the Hokies over Penn State, the only other school he visited, along with significant interest from other schools including Gonzaga, Texas Tech, Michigan, Villanova, Louisville, Virginia, Wake Forest, and many others. He becomes the second portal addition this offseason along with West Virginia starting C/PF Amani Hansberry.

During his standout freshman season, Pasha averaged 11.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.9 assists in 29.8 minutes per game while shooting 51.7% from the field including 33.3% from three-point range plus 76.9% from the free-throw line. He has three years of eligibility plus a redshirt remaining.

Pasha is a big time recruiting victory for the Hokies, especially after they were on the outside looking in at one point. VT’s relentless paid off in the end with a strong visit this weekend pushing the Hokies over the top.

Pasha is a very intriguing prospect who will be able to compete with Ben Hammond for minutes at point guard while also having the size to work off-the-ball at the two.
