There's no sugarcoating the disappointing defensive performance that Tech fans witnessed on Saturday as the Hokies gave up 35 points on five-straight drives to a below-average NC State offense on their way to a 35-28 defeat that was never as close as the score suggests. With that said, here are my defensive takeaways from the Hokies' loss to the Wolfpack.
