We have a pretty good indication, pretty good feeling, that Kirk Herbstreit and his crew will be in town for College GameDay,” Trout said. “We feel like that’s going to happen. We’re still waiting on some official confirmation on that. With this being the most-attended game in the history of college football between two brand-name programs in Virginia Tech and Tennessee, it really isn't a surprise to hear that College GameDay is likely to be in attendance with rumors circulating about GameDay's appearance for weeks now. For both programs, having not only the national exposure of being in primetime but also being the featured game of the week by GameDay should bring a lot of exposure to both programs on that Saturday along with throughout the week from live coverage at Bristol throughout the week from ESPN's college football shows and SportsCenter. With Tennessee on the rise and Virginia Tech kicking off the Justin Fuente era, getting the additional publicity will only be a boost for both programs who are looking to return to national prominence with the Volunteers having expectations of doing that this year and the Hokies expecting that in the next couple years. The anticipation is only building towards what may end up being the biggest, regular season spectacle in the history of college football.
