The 6'2'' had a breakout season for Minnesota this past year averaging 13.8 points and 7.9 rebounds per game while shooting 51.9% from the field. She has two years of eligibility remaining and is currently ranked as the 20th best transfer in the country by ESPN.
She immediately projects to be Virginia Tech's starter at the 4 next season and is a strong replacement for the now Minnesota Lynx forward and 2022-23 All-ACC Second Team forward Taylor Soule.
Kenny Brooks had mentioned finding a talented forward to pair with Liz Kitley in the frontcourt as a priority previously, and Brooks has found just about as good of one that is available in Micheaux. She's also used to playing in a significant role in one of the toughest conferences in the country in the Big 10 and should be able to adapt well to playing in the deepest conference in the country, the ACC.
