Virginia Tech's offense had a great stretch with 17 points on 3-straight possessions during the second quarter. However, they sputtered in the second half as the non-existent rushing attack combined with accuracy inconsistency from Grant Wells proved problematic on Tech's way to a 24-17 defeat to Purdue.
