The 2018 NFL Draft is tonight as Tremaine Edmunds is set to attend tonight's festivities in the green room of the NFL Draft ahead of his first round selection. Edmunds has a realistic chance at becoming the fourth Hokie to be selected in the top 10 of the NFL Draft joining Bruce Smith, Michael Vick, and DeAngelo Hall.
Ahead of the draft, Edmunds has agreed to a major endorsement deal.
ESPN's Darren Rovell is reporting that Tremaine Edmunds is among 18 players whom Nike has agreed to endorsement deals with. Many of these players are likely to be selected in the top half of the first round including Saquon Barkley, Baker Mayfield, Josh Allen, Roquan Smith, and Denzel Ward.
No one should be surprised that Edmunds has already agreed to a major endorsement deal as one of the top defensive prospects in this draft. Edmunds has the rare combination of size, speed, and athleticism that has scouts enthralled while his collegiate productivity backs up his potential with 32.5 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, and 4 forced fumbles in his two seasons as a starter for Virginia Tech.
Edmunds is set to become quite wealthy this evening, but it has started already with today's endorsement deal from one of America's biggest sporting brands.
