The final pieces of Virginia Tech's 2020-21 men's basketball schedule are coming together with the Hokies adding three more games including a showdown with one of the best West Coast teams in America.

According to Jon Rothstein, Virginia Tech will face #20 Oregon on December 2nd at the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. This will come after the Hokies play games in back-to-back days against Temple and USF as part of the Hall of Fame Tip Off at the Mohegan Sun.

Mike Young had previously told Mark Berman of the Roanoke Times that Tech was planning on playing VMI on December 2nd though it's unclear if that game will still happen this season.

Oregon isn't the only addition as Coppin State and Longwood both revealed that they will face the Hokies at Cassell Coliseum on December 19th and 21st respectively.

The addition of these three games would seem to tie up the 2020 non-conference schedule for Virginia Tech though it could be possible that Tech reschedules their game against VMI depending on if they have any more games that they can per NCAA limits.

If so, this is one of the strongest non-conference schedules that Tech has played in a long time playing more power conference opponents than non-power opponents. Additionally, having Radford as one of those three non-power conference opponents is an under-the-radar boost. Most importantly, games against Oregon and Penn State present huge opportunities to gain some major, early season victories that could help Tech make their fourth-straight contested NCAA Tournament.
