Virginia Tech starting guard Lani White has entered the transfer portal as reported by Skim Mulkey, a women’s college basketball insider account on X founded by the men’s college basketball insider account Trilly Donovan.
After arriving from Utah last offseason, White was an instant starter and impact player on both ends of the floor for the Hokies this season. She averaged 9.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 26.1 minutes per game while shooting 49.1% from the field including 50.0% from three-point range and 83.9% from the free-throw line. She will have one year of eligibility remaining.
White is the third Hokie to enter the transfer portal this offseason along with frontcourt players Ramiya White and Myah Hazelton. With White’s departure, the Hokies now have nine players currently for the 2025-26 season and six open roster spots.
We will have more as this story develops.
