Virginia Tech's biggest Junior Day of January was full of talented recruits and priority targets including 2021 four-star TE Jordan Dingle.
Dingle told us that he had a "great" visit to Virginia Tech that included time with head coach Justin Fuente, current Virginia Tech tight ends, and academic advisors while also going on a campus tour and partaking in a photoshoot.
The first standout part from an outside perspective is Dingle spending time with Fuente which went well along with Fuente having a specific message for him.
"It was great, we talked a little about everything," Dingle said. "He was saying he believes I’m a perfect fit for their program and that they are building something special."
Dingle also spent time with the Hokies' current tight ends though most of that was with starter James Mitchell. As Dingle shared with us, he and his family came away impressed from there time with Mitchell.
"My family and I ate lunch with James (Mitchell) and it was good. He’s a great guy. I briefly spoke with the others as well," Dingle said.
Beyond just interactions with Justin Fuente and James Mitchell, Dingle also received a campus tour that allowed him to see "the different school buildings, the new construction, and some nice nature spots in campus."
This visit did provide some very unique things to this visit compared to his previous visits to date to other schools.
"Getting to know the other tight ends was pretty unique, and I also went in depth with the academic advisors," Dingle said.
Overall, Jordan Dingle told us that what stood out the most was his conversation with Justin Fuente and the "atmosphere" because of the "family feel" at Virginia Tech.
So how did this visit impact the four-star tight end's recruitment and Virginia Tech's standing in it?
"It makes a big impact and puts them high on my list," Dingle said.
Dingle also added that Virginia Tech continues to be among the schools standing out in his recruitment, a foundation that was built from the moment James Shibest evaluated and offered him at a satellite camp last summer.
Virginia Tech continues to be in great shape for talented four-star TE Jordan Dingle with this visit continuing to build on their strong foundation in their pursuit of him.
