The charge against Pollard is from a late night incident on October 24th, last week during the Hokies' bye, according to the Roanoke Times report.
As Niziolek reported on social media, Virginia Tech has declined to comment on Pollard's status at this time. Given the now public nature of this, it wouldn't be surprising to see Virginia Tech make some sort of statement on Pollard's status before Saturday.
So far this season, Pollard has 16 tackles with 3 sacks and 2 QB hurries including a pair of sacks in the Hokies' 43-41 six-overtime victory over North Carolina.
If Pollard is held out of Saturday's game, Mario Kendricks is likely to step into the top backup DT role with Josh Fuga being a possibility to be the fourth guy. Of course, this is under the assumption that Dashawn Crawford will return to the starting lineup this week after missing the past two games against Rhode Island and North Carolina.
