More campus visits have produced scholarship offers with the latest Virginia Tech offer being extended to three-star DT Andrew Hanchuk out of Cleveland, OH over the weekend.

He had this to say about his reaction to receiving a Virginia Tech offer.
"I was so excited! We were in (head) coach (Brent) Pry’s office and I was with my dad, brother and girlfriend. We all were so happy and almost speechless!" Hanchuk said.
He added this on how that conversation and time with Brent Pry was as a whole.
"It was pretty cool! We talked about how the day went and what things I really enjoyed, and he answered a few questions I had. And then at the end, he kind of surprised me by giving me the offer!" Hanchuk said.
Obviously, that was the biggest highlight of his trip to Blacksburg but how was his visit as a whole?
"It was a really good visit! I loved watching practice and seeing all of their facilities and campus! Then being able to talk to (DL) coach (J.C.) Price for a good hour and then ending it with a good conversation with coach Pry was awesome!" Hanchuk said.
He also shared the numerous things he got to do and see during his visit to the Hokies.
"When we got there, I was able to sit in on their team meetings before practice and then into their position meetings. After that, their director of recruiting gave us a presentation on the school in general and went into more depth of the football side of things. We then went to their practice and watched everything they did. And closed to the end of practice, the strength coach talked with us about their program, and then we headed to a photo shoot. After that we ate lunch while I talked with coach Price, and then I had a meeting with coach Pry," Hanchuk said.
All in all, a very full day for Andrew Hanchuk that included some unique experiences given that he got to sit in on both the team meeting and the defensive line meeting. He had this to say about what it was like being in the team meeting.
"It was real cool to see how they do things and how they get the day started! And it really showed how things would be if I went there," Hanchuk said.
He had this to say about how his time with in the DL position meeting.
"It was awesome to see how they do things and how coach Price coaches up his players," Hanchuk said.
As stated above, Hanchuk got to spend a lot of time with DL coach J.C. Price and had this to say about how the time and conversations with Price went.
"It was awesome to be able to talk and be with him a lot of the time. He really got to know me and my family while we were there! All in all, the talks we had were awesome!" Hanchuk said.
So how did this offer and visit impact his recruitment and where VT stands in it?
"I really enjoyed everything about the visit and after it, VT is in the top few of my favorites," Hanchuk said.
He added that the Hokies are among those currently standing out for him along with "West Virginia, Wisconsin, and a few others."
Virginia Tech made a strong impression on three-star DT Andrew Hanchuk and have immediately become a top contender in his recruitment.
