Virginia Tech will face Penn State in the ACC-Big 10 Challenge in Cassell Coliseum on December 8th. This is the fourth time that Tech has faced the Nittany Lions as part of the ACC-Big 10 Challenge with the other times being 2007, 2014, and 2018. This is also the second-straight time that Tech has faced PSU in this event after the Hokies did not participate last year due to their trip to the Maui Invitational.
There's no doubt that this game should be a great opportunity to get a big resume-building win against a Penn State team that has loads of potential even after the resignation of their head coach Pat Chambers recently.
Penn State joins a non-conference schedule that includes Temple and South Florida in neutral site games at the Mohegan Sun, and local games hosting Radford and VMI. Here's a full rundown of Tech's non-conference schedule as it currently stands.
- vs. Radford, November 25th (Cassell Coliseum)
- vs. Temple OR USF, November 28th (Mohegan Sun Arena)
- vs. Temple OR USF, November 29th (Mohegan Sun Arena)
- vs. VMI, December 2nd (Cassell Coliseum)
- vs. Penn State, December 8th (Cassell Coliseum)
