Dickman is the second wrestling commit for the Hokies in the 2026 class, joining Jayden James out of Delbarton, NJ, who is now the #4 overall recruit in the 2026 class for Intermat.
Dickman is a fascinating prospect who wrestles at 120 pounds in high school currently, and projects as a 125 or 133 at the next level. Tech has Dillon Campbell and talented 2025 commit Aaron Seidel as the potential next wave at those classes though both Campbell and Seidel appear to project more at 133, leaving 125 open for Dickman potentially.
He has had an impressive high school career so far, earning two state titles in the state of Indiana. He also has placed in the top eight in all three appearances he’s made at the prestigious Walsh Ironman including a 2nd this year.
Tony Robie has put together some very strong classes over the years but with two top 40 overall recruits on board including one in the top five, Robie could put together one of his best recruiting classes of his tenure in the 2026 cycle. Virginia Tech seems well on their way to another top 10 class at minimum, with a top 5 spot being very much in play with this foundation.
