Virginia Tech heads to Atlanta to take on No. 13 Georgia Tech as roughly a two-touchdown underdog looking to shock the college football world and hand the Yellow Jackets their first loss of the season. Here's a look at the latest availability report for the Hokies.

  • S Jordan Bass
  • LB Caleb Woodson
  • LB Gabe Williams

Questionable

  • RB Terion Stewart
  • LB Jaden Keller

Out

  • S Quentin Reddish
  • S Christian Ellis
  • CB Caleb Brown
  • CB Joshua Clarke
  • WR Cameron Seldon
  • WR Shamarius Peterkin
  • WR Keylen Adams
  • WR Chanz Wiggins
  • OL Montavious Cunningham
  • OL Brody Meadows
  • TE Harrison Saint Germain
  • RB Jeff Overton Jr
  • DE/LB Brett Clatterbaugh
  • DE James Jennette
  • DE Sherrod Henderson
  • DL Andrew Hanchuk
  • DL Grant Karczewski
  • LB Brody Jones
  • WR LJ Booker
  • WR Joseph Hobbs

Let's start at linebacker where Caleb Woodson may return for the first time since the dismissal of Brent Pry while starter Jaden Keller is more up in the air for this game. Woodson still has a game before he would burn his redshirt with it not appearing to be an injury that caused his absence in the first place. If Woodson does play Saturday, it'll be a clear sign of him choosing to play out the season rather than use the redshirt before transferring.

Woodson would almost certainly start if available while Keller might end up being a backup even if available given the play of Kaleb Spencer.

At safety, Sherrod Covil appears to be on track to play for the first time since the dismissal of Pry, or at least be available to play. Meanwhile, Jordan Bass is likely but not certain but Christian Ellis is out for this week along with Quentin Reddish, who hasn't played since Pry's dismissal. This could lead to more Isaiah Brown-Murray at nickel to give Isaiah Cash a break while Sheldon Robinson should have another expanded role at safety. Brennan Johnson may also be forced into action depending on how thin Tech's depth may be.

At cornerback, Kolby Crawford of 247 Sports reported that CB Caleb Brown has had a surgery on his injury, which has ended his season. Jojo Crim and Thomas Williams seem poised to continue rotating heavily opposite Brown-Murray as part of the lead three-man CB rotation.

On offense, Terion Stewart's status remains questionable after missing the second half last week due to injury.

Cameron Seldon was initially questionable this week but has since been ruled out while Keylen Adams and Chanz Wiggins both remain out for a WR room that continues to have injuries impacting its depth. Isaiah Spencer and Takye Heath likely will have expanded roles with Seldon being unavailable. Promising freshman Shamarius Peterkin also is out this week.

No Montavious Cunningham this week likely means Tomas Rimac shifting inside to guard with Aidan Lynch stepping into the lineup at tackle. The good news is that Layth Ghannam is full go and should start this week at guard while Jaden Muskrat is available as a veteran backup to rotate in.
