According to multiple reports, Virginia Tech has landed a commitment from West Virginia OL and former four-star recruit Kyle Altuner.
Former West Virginia offensive lineman Kyle Altuner is expected to transfer to Virginia Tech, @chris_hummer and I have learned for @cbssports/@247Sports.

Altuner is the Hokies’ 11th transfer addition this cycle and the second West Virginia offensive line to follow Matt Moore from Morgantown to Blacksburg along with All-Big 12 guard Tomas Rimac. Altuner, a former four-star recruit from Maryland, redshirted this past season and has four years of eligibility remaining.
Altuner projects as an interior offensive lineman who can play either center or guard. Given the Hokies’ current roster situation, he immediately projects to be in a battle with fellow soon-to-be redshirt freshman Tommy Ricard for the starting center job in 2025.
Altuner not only provides a great boost to the depth chart especially at center but also is a very good young prospect who has a high ceiling and could be a quality rotational lineman as soon as next year.
However, if I was VT, I would still be looking for a veteran center for a year to give Altuner and Ricard further time to develop. While one of those two could prove to be ready to be a quality starter in 2025, the center spot remains a question mark for next season even with this addition.
We will have more as this story develops.
