The Hokies have started off with three losses in three weeks to open the season, leading to the dismissal to Brent Pry and the appointment of Interim Head Coach Phillip Montgomery, who was previously the offensive coordinator. To get you ready for the noon kickoff, here are some things to watch out for.
QB Kyron Drones searches for confidence
To start the season, Drones has been okay at absolute best. He's currently completing just 56% of his passes with a career low 6 yards per attempt. He is also at a career low passer rating at 137.2 with a 4-3 touchdown to interception ratio.
In his three starts, his PFF grade is a 67.9 with an overall pass grade of at 59.7. Drones will be facing off against a stout Wofford defense with Interim Head Coach Phillip Montgomery maintaining his play calling duties.
The offense will need to establish the run game, as Drones has been at his best when the Hokies are able to pass off of the run. In his two best games per PFF, the Hokies have tallied an average of 361.5 rush yards per game with a 7.2 yards per carry.
