Virginia Tech hosted plenty of talented recruits last week for their 38-21 victory over Pittsburgh including three-star LB Michael Gaul out of Pennsylvania. His visit went quite well as he shared with us.
"It was great, had an unreal atmosphere and a great experience catching up with coaches," Gaul said.
He added this on why it was a great visit for him.
"The atmosphere had to be number one with the sold out crowd. The meeting before with all the coaches made me feel at home," Gaul said.
He also shared some insight on what he did during his visit to Blacksburg.
"I ate with my family and other attending parties, got to see the Hokie walk, talked to coaches before the game, and got to watch an amazing game," Gaul said.
As he mentioned, Gaul spent some time with the coaches including head coach Brent Pry, defensive coordinator/LBs coach Chris Marve, and nickels/STAR LBs coach Shawn Quinn. He had this to say about his time and conversations with Brent Pry.
"The time was precious and great. Got to talk about what was going on at home and how my season was going," Gaul said.
He had this to say about his time and conversations with Chris Marve.
"We talked mainly about linebacker business and what was going down with my season," Gaul said.
There's no doubt that Gaul is pretty high on Tech's 2025 LB board and rightly so given how he's playing as a junior. Through 5 games, Gaul has 56 tackles including 8.5 for loss with 2.5 sacks plus 2 interceptions. He's been a playmaker on the field this fall and seems certain to add more big time offers in the coming months.
So with all that said, how did this visit impact his recruitment and where the Hokies stand in it?
"This visit to me just solidifies my thoughts on VT being an elite school with elite facilities, coaches, and fans," Gaul said.
Virginia Tech continues to be in a strong position in three-star LB Michael Gaul's recruitment following another great visit to Blacksburg.
