Virginia Tech has made one of its biggest splashes of this transfer portal cycle to date, landing a commitment from Duke starting WR Que'Sean Brown.

The 5'8'' Brown is the second transfer wide receiver that the Hokies have landed this cycle along with Penn State WR Jeff Exinor Jr. He is the fourth transfer commit who has Power 4 starting experience along with Penn State LB Keon Wylie, Oklahoma OT Logan Howland, and the expected commitment of Penn State QB Ethan Grunkemeyer.

He will have two years of eligibility after being a starter for Duke this season and a significant contributor the past two seasons.

Brown had an impressive redshirt sophomore season for Duke with 64 catches for 846 yards and five touchdowns. For his career at Duke, Brown had 107 catches for 1,310 yards and seven touchdowns with back-to-back seasons of 400+ receiving yards the past two years. He has earned PFF grades of 72 or better each of the past two seasons including receiving grades of 75 or better during that time. He also has only two drops over the past two seasons and a drop rate of only 1.8%.

Landing Brown is a tremendous coup for the Hokies and gives them an instant-impact player who should be a dynamic weapon for Tech's offense next season. Brown immediately projects as the starting slot receiver for the Hokies and should form a dynamic 1-2 punch with Ayden Greene for new QB Ethan Grunkemeyer.

WRs coach Fontel Mines has landed some quality WR talent via the transfer portal but this may be his most impressive coup yet landing a proven ACC receiver from the conference champs. Brown has all the talent to instantly be an All-ACC guy the next two years and be a matchup nightmare for opponents.
