After last week's not guilty ruling, former Virginia Tech LB Isi Etute is now looking to resume his football career and has formally entered the transfer portal.

The decision by Etute should come as a surprise to no one given al that has happened over the past year plus. Now gives him the chance to reset fully after all that happened since his arrival in Blacksburg.
It will be interesting to see where Etute may land first as though he was not guilty, there may be lots of bigger schools that are skeptical initially. Etute could look at going the JUCO route or to a smaller school with a familiar face with his former LBs coach Jack Tyler at Texas A&M-Commerce and former VT assistant Adam Lechtenberg at Central Oklahoma seeming like possible spots.
Etute's move does not affect Virginia Tech's scholarship numbers given that Etute had been removed from the school previously after the initial incident and charge.
