Virginia Tech and Liberty have canceled their home-and-home series.
The two programs were set to face each off in Blacksburg in 2029 and Lynchburg in 2030. This move comes as the ACC adjusts its annual schedule to nine league games and a requirement to play 10 power four teams each year.
The sides came to a mutual agreement, so no team will have to pay a $500,000 buyout, per the terms of the contract.
Virginia Tech and Liberty still have two games on the docket, both in Blacksburg, in 2027 and 2028 to open up each season.
This cancellation comes after Virginia Tech in January canceled its matchup with JMU this season to comply with the ACC's new scheduling requirements.
