Virginia Tech took care of business this week with a 72-63 win over Boston College. That game was solely about avoiding a landmine that would implode Virginia Tech's NCAA Tournament hopes.
Now, the Hokies enter the weekend knowing a win against UVA would certainly push them to the right side of the bubble and give them a great chance at dancing this year after missing three-straight NCAA Tournaments. Let's dive into that latest on Virginia Tech's bubble status.

One of the best things that happened for Virginia Tech this week is Florida State climbing back into the top 75 of the NET at #74. That means the Hokies for now have zero losses outside the top two quadrants, something that will be a notable boost for the Hokies' resume if FSU can stay in that top 75.
Otherwise, not much has changed for Virginia Tech's resume since our March 3rd update prior to the Boston College victory. Tech lost one spot in NET, KPI, BPI, and KenPom while they gained a spot in SOR and two spots in T-Rank. The minimal movement shouldn't come as a surprise given the 72-63 result against Boston College. If they could have held their early 19-point lead, they could have boosted some of their predictive metrics in a slightly notable way.
