Isaiah Ford has signed with the Chicago Bears after a successful tryout. He is the fourth Hokie currently on the Bears' roster along with LB Tremaine Edmunds, RB Khalil Herbert, and CB Greg Stroman.
Ford has had his ups and downs in his NFL career with a floor of being a practice squad regular. His high point to date came in 2021 when he made 2 starts for the Miami Dolphins among 13 games he was active for. During that season, he had 12 receptions for 161 yards and 2 touchdowns.
There will be tough competition for Ford in his hopes of making the roster as WR6 or WR7 with spots being certain for DJ Moore, Chase Claypool, Darnell Mooney, Venus Jones Jr, and rookie Tyler Scott. Some of the notable WRs he'll be battling in training camp for a spot are Equanimeous St. Brown, Dante Pettis, and Joe Reed.
Isaiah Ford has shown in the past that he has what it takes to succeed in the NFL with the Chicago Bears giving him another chance to earn a roster spot.
