Michigan State transfer OT Justin Bell has committed to Virginia Tech after taking a visit to VT this past weekend.
Bell is the fifth transfer to join Virginia Tech along with DL Daniel Jennings, TE Matt Henderson, Penn State QB Ethan Grunkemeyer who is expected to choose VT per reports, and Louisiana RB Bill Davis.
The Michigan native redshirted this past season and has four years of eligibility remaining, becoming the third transfer addition who has all four years of eligibility remaining along with Jennings and Henderson.
Justin Bell is the first transfer piece added on the offensive line for a team looking to rebuild on the line after adding seven offensive linemen as part of the 2026 class. His addition should help bring more long-term depth that is valuable at a position where patient development is required and the preferred way to build.
The 6’6”, 311-pound OT was a three-star recruit and top-20 player in the state of Michigan as a class of 2025 recruit. He was previously recruited by current offensive line coach Matt Moore while he was coaching at West Virginia. Bell chose Michigan State over teams like West Virginia, Indiana, Kansas, and others out of high school.
