Among the five fresh faces on the Virginia Tech Men’s Basketball squad in 2023-24 will be incoming freshman Brandon Rechsteiner. The 6’1'', 185 pound point guard from Woodstock, Georgia was a four-star recruit coming out of high school where he played for Etowah High School.
Rechsteiner was ranked as the 16th best point guard in the 2023 high school class, a top seven player in the state of Georgia and the 110th best player in the class nationally. He was part of a two-man high school class along with three-star SG Jaydon Young. His offer list was quite strong as beyond Virginia Tech, it also included Tennessee, Miami, Xavier, Clemson, Notre Dame, Kansas State, Northwestern, LSU, Georgia Tech, Wichita State, and more.
