With the offseason in full swing, much of Virginia Tech's focus is on recruiting, which includes locking in some of their top 2025 targets for official visits this summer. Yesterday, several top 2025 targets announced on X, formerly Twitter, that they had set official visits to Blacksburg for the following dates, as listed below.
June 7-9
- 4* WR Micah Matthews
- 3* CB Terrance Edwards
- 3* OT Carter Stallard (VT Commit)
June 21-23
- 4* DB Faheem Delane
- 3* RB Jeff Overton Jr
- 3* DE Taeshawn Alston
- 3* DB Major Preston Jr
- 3* DL Caleb Williams
- OT Skylar Harvey
- LB Noah Chambers
- OL Nathaniel Wright
This is an impressive group of recruits to already have official visits locked in with, especially given how all but Carter Stallard are currently uncommitted players. Yes, the recruiting calendar has shifted earlier in recent years, but to have all this set up already is an excellent foundation for the next few months of Tech's recruiting.
The heaviest hitter on this is four-star DB Faheem Delane, the brother of current Virginia Tech star CB Mansoor Delane. Faheem Delane is ranked among the top 20 recruits in the country by 247 Sports and Rivals, and is one of the clear best DBs in the country.
Tech hasn't been afraid of the fight and has likely been boosted by the family ties with his brother shining for the Hokies and the possibility that the two could play together in 2025. There's plenty of tough competition that Tech is facing, with Ohio State, Oregon, and LSU all being serious threats.
In addition to having the chance to play alongside his brother, Faheem Delane also has the talent to potentially be the direct replacement for Jalen Stroman in 2025, should Delane choose VT.
Meanwhile, four-star WR Micah Matthews
