The 2021 recruiting cycle has been a little slow for Virginia Tech on the basketball side of things, but the Hokies started to lay the foundation of their class tonight landing a commitment from three-star PG Sean Pedulla.

Pedulla chose the Hokies over in-state Oklahoma State and Minnesota, who both made his top 3, along with offers from SMU, Tulsa, Louisiana Tech, and others.
Pedulla becomes Tech's first commitment of the 2021 cycle at a position of great need with the Hokies not taking a true point guard last cycle and seeing Jalen Cone thrive in a more off-the-ball role as a true freshman.
Part of what makes landing Pedulla impressive is the fact that they beat the in-state Cowboys for a player at a position of need during a time when Pedulla has not been able to visit Virginia Tech at all.
We will have more as this story develops.
