UConn transfer cornerback Cam Chadwick has committed to Virginia Tech after three years with the Huskies.
The redshirt sophomore recently visited TCU, but after visiting Blacksburg, he ultimately decided on James Franklin and the Hokies. He was also looking at visiting UCLA prior to his decision to commit to VT. Colorado State was also involved in his recruitment.
Chadwick is now the third defensive addition and one of eight overall transfer additions. He and Louisiana RB Bill Davis are the only two transfer commits so far who have played more than one non-redshirt season of college football.
Cam Chadwick was a key player for the Huskies the past two years. In 2025 he recorded 67 tackles with four interceptions and four pass breakups. In his career, Chadwick has tallied 113 tackles, six interceptions, 10 pass breakups, and a sack in 25 games played. He also earned PFF season grades of 71 or higher each of the two seasons he started including run defense and coverage grades that exceeded 67 both years.
He's a 6-foot, 185-pound cornerback who should compete for a starting spot when spring practice begins at minimum, even in a room that could be pretty crowded if Isaiah Brown-Murray, Jordan Crim, and Thomas Williams all return along with the already
Chadwick will have two years of eligibility remaining for the Hokies.
