Four-star RB Tevin White is one of the top 2022 offensive recruits in Virginia with White already building a strong offer list that includes double-digit offers from Power 5 programs.
That list includes Virginia Tech with the Hokies off to a strong start in his recruitment.
Tevin White told us that Virginia Tech is among seven schools currently standing out for him along with Penn State, Georgia, Michigan State, Tennessee, Virginia, and Duke. He had this to say about why the Hokies are currently standing out for him.
"Because although i haven't visited VT yet, they keep in touch with me often and I'm slowly building a relationship with them," White said.
Additionally, White told us that the Hokies are among five programs recruiting him the hardest along with Penn State, Georgia, Michigan State, and Duke.
RBs coach Adam Lechtenberg is taking an unsurprisingly large role in the Hokies' pursuit of White with the four-star RB telling us that he is "hoping to further our relationship and became closer" as Tech's interest in him takes off.
Tevin White does have a new, interesting connection to Virginia Tech as he is teammates with recent VT DB commit Shawn Asbury II. While White and Asbury are definitely close, White told us before Asbury's commitment that Asbury's decision wouldn't have a major effect on his eventual decision.
"We are good friends and see eachother often, and his decision wont effect mine at all, vice versa for Shawn, no hard feelings but we both understand that we are going to go to a college that best suits our personal interests," White said.
However, White made it clear to us that the two could end up at the same college depending on if Virginia Tech suits his personal interests as it has for Asbury.
There's no doubt that White is a talented playmaker out of the backfield with his sights set on being a threat both in the rushing attack and passing game. As White previously told us, he not only wants to help his team win a state championship, but he is personally hoping to have at least 800 rushing yards and 300 receiving yards this upcoming season.
Virginia Tech is right in the hunt for 2022 four-star RB Tevin White as they hope they can build North Stafford HS into a pipeline starting with White and Shawn Asbury.
