For the fourth time this fall, the media were allowed to see about a 20 minute portion of Virginia Tech's practice. This one was a unique one with the Hokies practicing on the Marching Virginians' turf field. The reason seemed to be to get some experience playing on a turf field outdoors, as the only practice turf field next to Lane Stadium is inside the indoor practice facility.
While we didn't get to see a whole lot of practice, what we did see provided some interesting insights on various starting competitions and rotations under three weeks from opening kickoff.
