Virginia Tech Women's Basketball continues to out together a tremendous 2024 recruiting class recently landing a commitment from possibly the best international recruit this cycle in Portugese C Clara Silva.

Silva chose the Hokies over a host of major interest including UCONN, Tennessee, Maryland, Louisville, and North Carolina. She joins four-star SG Lexi Blue and forward Myah Hazelton is this impressive class for the Hokies.
Silva is an impressive talent to say the least with tremendous size at around 6'7'' that could help her be an instant impact player. She's also shined on the international level for Portugal averaging 18.1 points, 11.6 rebounds, 2.3 blocks, 1.6 assists, and 1.3 steals per game at the recent European U-18 Championships.
That type of talent makes Silva someone who could absolutely come in and immediately battle Strack for the starting center job for the 2024-25 season.
Tech is putting together an impressive frontcourt for the long term future beyond Liz Kitley and Rose Micheaux (who has eligibility through 2024-25) with freshman C Clara Strack, freshman F Carys Baker, and the 2024 duo of Silva and Hazelton.
There's no doubt that Kenny Brooks has proven himself to be a tremendous recruiter and coach during his time at Tech to date. However, Brooks and his staff appear to be stepping their game up even more on the high school recruiting front coming off Tech's first ever Final Four.
