The media has Virginia Tech projected to finish 11th in the ACC this season with Virginia leading the way as the projected winner of the ACC. Additionally, the Hokies' 20-game ACC schedule was revealed with the most notable stretch coming in February when the Hokies will face Florida State twice plus Louisville and North Carolina over a four-game stretch.
Tech showed plenty of promise early last season, and should benefit from a team that is older and bigger both because of the transfers they brought in and simply because the experience that this very young team gained going through the ACC last season.
Kansas State grad transfer Cartier Diarra and breakout talents Tyrece Radford and Jalen Cone headline a Tech team that should bring lots of toughness this season. They should also benefit from more size led by Wofford transfer Keve Aluma and Delaware transfer Justyn Mutts.
