The 6-5 sophomore averaged 12.4 points and 4.2 rebounds per game this season, shooting nearly 37% from three. Former top-50 recruit who began his career at USC.https://t.co/yTtH8iI8UW pic.twitter.com/tlZ3K15Dno
Elohim, a junior, was a top-50 recruit coming out of Sierra Canyon High School in the class of 2024. He originally committed to USC, where he averaged 2.1 points per contest.
In 2025, he transferred to Florida Atlantic. The 6'5, 215 pound combo guard averaged 12.4 points and 4.3 rebounds per game for the Owls (18-15, 9-9 AAC) last season. Overall, he shot 47% from the field, including 37% from three-point range. He finished the season on a hot streak, scoring in double figures in 10 of the Owls' final 13 games. On the year, he scored 10 or more points in 23 games.
Elohim is the Hokies' third transfer commitment in the last two weeks, joining Oklahoma transfer forward Kuol Atak and San Diego State center Miles Heide. With his commitment, Virginia Tech now features eight scholarship players on its roster:
- F Amani Hansberry (Sr.)
- C Miles Heide (Sr.)
- G Tyler Johnson (Jr.)
- G Ben Hammond (Jr.)
- G Isaiah Elohim (Jr.)
- F Kuol Atak (r-So.)
- F Sin’Cere Jones (So.)
- C Solomon Davis (r-Fr.)
Shameful how Mike Young gets very little support for his program. He is a good man in a very unfortunate situation. Shameful!
